Get your hands on a slice of fashion history with D&G's iconic final collection of swirling silk scarf prints.
BY Alicia Waite | 05 April 2012
We've all seen the H&M versions and snapped up the Zara copies, tried on the Oasis dresses and dug out our mother's old scarves to try to recreate the look. Come pay day we might even splash out on a little slice of the real McCoy…
We are of course talking about D&G's iconic final collection. After announcing they would be shutting up the D&G shop to focus on their main line last September, we knew Italian design duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana would deliver something special, and that they did with a swirling colour-clash of silk scarf prints mixed and matched onto dresses, blouses, skirts and even shoes, all of which has recently gone on sale.
Lending themselves perfectly to the print-clashing trend of the season, the scarf patterns are all the better the brighter they are, and when teamed with a stripy trouser, a colour-pop skirt or even a simple pair of jeans they lend a splash of glamour that you won't regret investing in, particularly when you're buying a piece of history.
And if you want to get your hands on something really special, to celebrate the end of the D&G line my-wardrobe have hooked up with the brand to offer their customers a few exclusive items, including one of the collection's highlights - a printed shirt covered in delectable fruits.
"It's the end of a fashion era as we bid farewell to D&G. It's been a phenomenally successful brand, loved for its chic, feminine collections. This range will be a last chance for the my-wardrobe shoppers to buy a piece of the much-loved line of the Italian powerhouse that is D&G."
